What I remember about 9/11

Ten years ago, I was on campus at Queen’s University when news broke that the first tower was struck. I was in Mac Corry, taken aback by the news and opted to go home to watch the news coverage. A dark cloud fell over the remote city of Kingston that day. Even though I felt I was in the “bubble” for most days, insulated from local and international news, the malaise of this horrific event has spread throughout the grounds, the library and the student ghetto. I wish the families of 9/11 all the best on this day and hope that the next ten years will bring peace and unity for us all.
